The Earth is Burning

The earth is burning,
And we’re not helping,
We’ll have nothing to do,
When the earth is burning us too,

From Africa to Antarctica,
It will be hot,
From England to America,
It will not seem true,
When the sun is burning,
The earth and you,

It’s as hot as the sun,
It’s already begun,
The earth is a fire ball,
Waiting to explode,
Then we won’t have life’s long road,

Walk or cycle don’t use a car,
At least use a bus,
Then we won’t be where we are,

Weather changing rapidly,
Snow and ice in Helsinki,
Snow on the road,
Nowhere to go,

Why don’t you walk?,
Have a chat or a talk,
Don’t think its all gone,
This is a sign it’s still on,

The river

The river is as calm as a sleeping dog,
The river spits when a stone is thrown in it,
The river is as cold as ice,
The river jumps when the wind blows,
The river shines like a diamond when the sun is out.

The mystery person

On Thursday 12th February, at Cedars Manor School, 6Y had to solve a weird mystery. First, the teacher, Miss Yassin recieved a note. A teacher from Cedars Manor, which was a man or woman, had taken some of the fabulous balls and cones from the building. The mysterious note said, ‘We are coming back for more’.

Suddenly, the phone rang and 6Y answered it. ‘Come to the D.T Room, it is an emergency!’ said a teacher on the other end of the line.

Thoughtfully, 6Y rushed to the D.T room like cheetahs and to their surprise, the P.E ball and cones were there.

The person is very cunning and the children have to find out who it is. 6Y are being given tasks to complete and the task they are doing now is to write a newspaper article based on what they have observed. The children suspect the mystery person to be Mr Brownsell as he is the head of year 6. This person has done this because he/she wants the children to work on Journalistic Writing. Who can it be?!

Loneliness is

As lonely as a little puppy sitting on a door step in the winter month,
As lonely as a bonfire with no one to poke it,
As lonely as a little girl with no one to play with,
As lonely as a rabbit with no one to stroke it,
As lonely as a little born baby with no one to rock it,
As lonely as a cat with no one to chase it,
As lonely as a hamster with no one to feed it
